After escaping to Mexico and changing his name to El Venado, Billy the Kid takes a job at a ranch where the owner is about to marry a beautiful woman named Rosa, who is being pursued by a killer named El Alacran. El Venado swears to protect her, pretending to be her lover as a smokescreen. The owner of the ranch misunderstands El Venado`s overtures toward Rosa, which leads to a fateful confrontation.
