The Education of Robert Nifkin

For the essay portion of a college application, Robert Nifkin is asked to characterize his high school experience...and what an experience high school has been for him. Initially, Robert attended the horrific Riverview high school, where the instructors were more interested in searching out communists and perverts than in teaching. He ultimately transfered to the Wheaton School, where he found the countercultural atmosphere and unusual teaching methods much more suitable.
